Pallet Design Competition

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Some of Edmonton’s
most prominent individuals will be challenged to show off their creative flare by turning wooden shipping pallets into interior design treasures. One month prior to the event each participant was provided with 3 pallets and a $150 budget to create their masterpiece. The finished pieces will be auctioned off at the 2013
Edmonton Home + Garden Show, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House of Northern Alberta.

NAIT-ure Calls presented by 630 CHED
N.A.I.T.’s Landscape Architecture students are bringing their class projects to life at the show. Get reacquainted with your inner child with the Peter Pan themed garden this year and learn how recycled items can inspire creative play. Attendees can look to the knockout displays for inspiration on things like how to add their own personality to spaces by combining contemporary furnishings with some creative upcycled items. There will be a “How To” area featuring instruction on how to create some of the items featured in the garden, as well as a “photo booth” area to awaken the child within. “So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Land!”
