Paul Lafrance, creator, owner, and CEO of Cutting Edge Construction and Design, and host of HGTV Canada’s Decked Out and Deck Wars, has been generating innovative and state-of-the-art custom deck designs for over fifteen years. Rachel Curry, Artist

Rae is an Alberta Artist who decorates and designs outside of the normal realm. Her mantra in art is “Art Inspired by Nature, Nature Embraced in Art” and design mantra “If it doesn’t go in the washer or the dishwasher, I should have never bought it in the first place!” When working with a client she incorporates items from past
and present into decor to create a unique space that reflects the family values and treasures of those who will occupy the space. “Your home and yard should be as individual as you are!” says Rae. “It should be the one place that screams individuality. Being individual does not mean hiding away the treasures handed down from one generation to another but to embrace, use and display them."

Chef Paul then moved on to consulting for several companies and became a corporate chef for the Vintage Group before opening Craft Beer Market. Jeff de Jong celebrates gardening with a rich and diverse career. His passion for landscape design has lead him to many personal awards and exciting opportunites. He is at home teaching gardening classes in college or to local gardening clubs. Jeff Hosts the only two hour gardening radio program in the West called Gardening 101.  He currently is the manager of the World renowned Abkhazi Garden which is rated one of the top small gardens in the world.

Deborah has grown up in the horticulture industry, studied through the University of Guelph and is passionate about gardening. One of the main hosts of the 630 Ched Garden Show, Deborah always enjoys sharing her practical, time efficient approach to gardening.

Rob Sproule has had an insatiable curiosity about the world all his life.  He’s been fascinated with plants since he was a boy when he helped his dad at Salisbury Greenhouse just east of Edmonton. Rob is now a part of the third generation of Sproules at the helm of Salisbury and is proud to be an owner of a company at the cutting edge of Canadian gardening. He grew up on a farm east of Edmonton and has always had a vivid imagination. He’s a prolific writer and is currently finishing a Masters Degree in English at the University of Alberta which blends two of his other passions in life: poetry and mountain climbing. He is the author of two books, New Annuals for Canada and Gardening with Colour in which he combines his many passions to bring a fresh and enthusiastic voice to the garden writing world.

Growing up with avid gardening parents has obviously influenced Chris’ passion for all things plant related. When her family started to grow, she decided to retire from her career in the financial industry and pursue her love for landscape design. It took many years of intense education and in 2003, she obtained her Certified Landscape Design designation with honours. Chris believes that just as investments are very personal and unique, enhancing outdoor living spaces plats an equally important role in quality of life. After nine years of landscape designing on her own, Chris realized she was missing a component to her work. She wanted to see her designs through from start to finish. Being a part of the Salisbury Landscaping team she is now able to provide full service design and build capabilities.
